I have been coming to "Singing in Highgate" for over a year and I can truly say that it is the highlight of my week.
The atmosphere is so friendly and relaxed. We learn a variety of songs from the Musicals each week with the expert tuition of Idit Gold and the accompaniment of her talented pianists.
Twice a year we perform a medley of songs in the local festival and for a local hospital charity.
We all come together to have fun and enjoy ourselves. It is an informal and inclusive group, as there are no auditions and everyone feels very welcome. Singing is a wonderful way to express yourself and it always puts a smile on my face. I couldn't recommend it highly enough!

I'm so glad I decided to go along to try a session with this singing group to see if it fitted my quest to find somewhere to do some singing purely for fun and enjoyment.
From my first evening , everyone was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
There is no audition so it is relaxed and non-threatening for people like me who have only ever sung in the bath. We sing different songs from musicals each week, which is just great as it means there is a lot of variety in the different moods, tempos and styles of the songs. And how satisfying it is when, after practising several songs during the course of the evening, we finally succeed in producing a good result.
I would really recommend this singing group for any one who likes singing and wants a totally enjoyable and absorbing evening. All the stress of the working day melts away once we start singing. We all end the evening with huge smiles and go home on a total high.

Singing in HIghgate Club is a fun and friendly way to spend a musical Monday evening. I have always loved songs from the shows. To meet fellow enthusiasts and to sing together as a group with opportunities for solos is a rare thrill and I'm delighted to have discovered it. I enjoy the informal "singing for fun" atmosphere and we often carry on with a sing-song in the pub afterwards.
I have made some good "singing friends" and we occasionally get together outside the Club for Karaoke sessions. I would recommend the Singing Club highly and it is one of the highlights of my week!"
